Visual: A young man of 28, though stress has aged him, so a guess at his age might skew higher. About 5'6", white, with dark hair, and gaunt as if he's lost a lot of weight. He prefers to wear short hair and a clean shave, though the availability of that option varies sometimes. He has a number of scars from cuts and scrapes, resulting both from fights and from general environmental hazards. Although he's blind, there's nothing visible about his eyes to indicate that fact, unless you pay attention to where he is and isn't looking. He generally carries a telescoping shuffleboard stick that he uses as a cane.
Voice: Mid-range with a bit of a stammer. English accent: a blend of received pronunciation, and the bits from further north that school failed to knock out of him. It's softened at the edges in a way which makes it clear that he's spent a lot of time in America.

Physical affection: absolutely yes! he is your classic emotionally constipated 1930s man and also can't see you coming, so he may or may not be uncomfortable depending on the situation.
