Descriptions
Visual: A young man of 28, though stress has aged him, so a guess at his age might skew higher. About 5'6", white, with dark hair, and gaunt as if he's lost a lot of weight. He prefers to wear short hair and a clean shave, though the availability of that option varies sometimes. He has a number of scars from cuts and scrapes, resulting both from fights and from general environmental hazards. Although he's blind, there's nothing visible about his eyes to indicate that fact, unless you pay attention to where he is and isn't looking. He generally carries a telescoping shuffleboard stick that he uses as a cane.
Voice: Mid-range with a bit of a stammer. English accent: a blend of received pronunciation, and the bits from further north that school failed to knock out of him. It's softened at the edges in a way which makes it clear that he's spent a lot of time in America.

Physical affection: absolutely yes! he is your classic emotionally constipated 1930s man and also can't see you coming, so he may or may not be uncomfortable depending on the situation.

Arthur is a magnet for trauma of both the physical and mental sorts. He's also a dude from a universe full of cults and elder gods and unfathomable terrors. He doesn't have a word for PTSD, but he sure has it all the same.
Concepts that might potentially come up in his tags include suicide / suicidal ideation, infant death, and the absolute state of how people with disabilites & mental illnesses were treated in the 1930s. He also has heavily negative feelings and frustrations about being blind. In addition, while I play him without personal animus towards racial or sexual minorities, he's still a white, compulsorily straight guy from the mid-1930s. So references to the bigotry and misconceptions of the time, and his own false assumptions and prejudices that are informed by them, might come up in tags if relevant.
