"All right, don't worry about it." The blood on the door, it wasn't a big deal right now. "It could just be from the buffet." He didn't remember why blood was there, just that it was. Some sort of demon cult ritual thing probably. There's bigger things to worry about. "You might want to grab a shower before doing anything. I'm going to scour more of Spirit Halloween, see what else I can find. I'll take Klaus with me," because losing both of them on the same day might make Nobunaga snap into a murderous rage; who knows?

"Far be it from me, of all denizens, to advise against paranoia," because Nobunaga is paranoid as hell. "But listen to your instincts, but rely on proof before doing anything rash. I suspected something was strange about Jeff, but without proof I was unwilling to take action. I suspect Crichton was less inclined to take the slow path. If we all start killing each other we're just playing into the Captain's hands, however. Protect yourself, but let's not all start stabbing each other over suspicions, or the only one who benefits, is the one who's most willing to be ruthless and evil." So the Captain. Arguably. "Right now the enemy has the advantage for being the first to attack. To flip that against them, we need to make sure we don't turn and divide on each other," a nod. "Can you think of who you know is secure or difficult to imitate?"

His tone's still icy and detached, the default Demon King in command, the one making executive decisions, all the childish enthusiasm and love for life ruthlessly muted for now for the same reasons as the first time: war and death. The detached tone, seemingly unaffected by anyone's death, as if there were no personal feelings whatsoever.
